Wisdom Teeth Extractions
When a tooth doesn’t fully grow in, it’s ‘impacted’. An impacted wisdom tooth can damage its neighboring teeth or can even become infected. It can also invite bacteria that lead to gum diseases. The oral bacteria can travel through the bloodstream and may lead to infections and other illnesses. At my tooth docs, we can remove your wisdom teeth before these infections occur to prevent any serious illness.
Patient Safety Guidelines
My Tooth Docs recommend that wisdom teeth should be surgically removed when there are:
• Impacted leading to issues with neighboring teeth
• Cavitated that might lead to pain or infection
• Cysts or tumors around the wisdom tooth
• Causing crowding issues to neighbor teeth
